insomnia

It has been a bad, mad, sad few days & as a result I have been sleep deprived, because of this I have been doing some random crafting in the early hours of the morning.

Very simple stuff as my brain was incapable of coping with anything more complex, I sort of went on auto pilot & this is one of the things I ended up with.

I had been doing a few Gorjuss projects & had failed to tidy up so it was all to hand, I had a spare Ikea frame laying around so it all just sort of fell together. As with every project I could have done a few things differently, but I think it turned out OK considering it was created in the wee hours of the morning LOL.

This is what I do when I can't sleep!

A liitle look at something I am working on right now. I didn't plan this project so am winging it.
Have no clue how this is going to turn out, but am sure it will be gorjuss!

Creative Chaos

Wow...what a mess I have made.
I am going to try & justify it by saying I am still poorly & just don't have the energy to tidy up.
Today it was a choice between doing the laundry & cooking dinner or cleaning up my crafty mess, you can see which choice lost.
I have to clear up in the morning & get organised, as I can't find anything I am looking for amongst the mountain of mess!
This project is on hold until I can get more papers anyway.
I have made stupid mistakes on it & need a break. Should never have started it whilst being ill. My concentration levels are serious lacking.

I may (when I have a clear surface), start something new. Something simple & quick. No clue what that could be right now. Depends how I feel after the clean up.
If today was anything to go by I will be taking a nanna nap! Out cold in the chair this afternoon catching flies or so I was told.

Thats it for tonight it's late & I am shattered.

All sorts of Gorjuss!

At last I have been well enough to craft! Here are some pictures of the completed Gorjuss Girl Mini album.

I love the Gorjuss Girls, & am in the process of making an 8x8 album in neutrals. I could craft with this collection all day.

                         There are a few tags & photo mats missing from this last photo...no clue why lol. 

I decided not to over embellish this mini, only because I only left a 1/4" in the hidden hinge so needed to allow for all the photo's etc.

I am however planning to go OTT on the 8x8 album, which I am starting to prep today. Trying to decide on what dies & flips & folds etc at the moment. Need to go through all my stuff, as I often find things I had forgotten all about.

Woe is me

After a few very rough days (I have pleurisy & pneumonia), I actually felt well enough to craft a little.

It has been a hectic few days as we have had a new boiler installed, which caused a lot of mess; but thankgod for my niece Gemma who has come two days in row & sorted everything out. She has been an absolute star.

I have been very good & actually listened to the drs advice & am getting lots of rest. I am extremely gratefull for the painkillers I was prescribed. I couldn't cope without them. Every breath is incredibly painfull.

I am improving a little every day so am very happy about that. I am missing all this sunshine though.

Am hoping tomorrow I will feel up to finishing an album I was working on before I became poorly. I would like to get it finished as I want to get started on a few more ideas I have.

Prep work is BORING!!!!

It is 10.30pm & I am sat prepping mini albums ready for tomorrow.
Nic wants one for her mother-inlaws birthday, so I have constructed it ready for her to decorate. We are getting together tomorrow to craft (& drink wine!).
I was also hoping to get the prep work done for a new baby mini but I am just too hot & tired to do anymore.
I am going cross eyed so time to call it a night.

There's no place like home

I have been a busy bee over the last week, working on a few commissions. Here is a small mini album using the G45 collection Magic of OZ. This is one of my favourite collections that G45 have done. It is so easy to work with. Sadly my stash is all used up now, & I am unable to source more.
This is a very simple mini, no fussy cutting & not many fancy foldouts or tags, but I think it works well. There is a large pocket at the end of every page, containing single & book photo mats, so plenty of spaces for photo's.
I kept all the pages black as I was running low on the papers & wouldn't have had enough to cover every page.

Before I share the pictures I am going to have a little moan about the cost of postage. To post this album & a few cards & little note books it cost £5.90! I was gob smacked. The box wasn't heavy it was the size. I am going to have to charge more in the future to cover the postage. Ok moan over, here are the pics!

                            This is a fold out book....It has a magnetic closure. I forgot to take a picture!

It is a real shame that I didn't have enough patterned papers to cover each page, but I figure they could put photo's & journal etc on all the blank bits.
Will be making a few more mini albums over the weekend & will also be making another lightshade & hot air balloon, so lots to share again soon.

Help!

Does anyone out there in the crafty world know where I could get my hands on an 8x8 Magic of Oz G45 paper pad? Please let me know if you know of anywhere that still has some. Long shot I know, but worth a try!

Colouring in makes me happy!

Today was a busy one, but I did manage to do a little colouring in, & make a simple card. I love Gorjuss stuff, will be doing lots more. I sometimes forget about all the stamps I have stashed away, so its great when I re-discover them.

Butterfly madness!

Good morning all....am blogging on the go again; this time sat in the drs waiting room waiting for my mum. (just a blood pressure appointment).
I thought I would share a pic of some butterflies I have been making.
These are to go on my wall & tie in with the book paper theme....( it was a big book!).
I have made around 25 of these so far....alot lol, but in my head the finished design looks great, if it doesn't then I have lots of butterflies for future projects!
