My attempt at a Christmas Tree!

I used G.C.D vintage Christmas papers for this tree, & inked all the edges with DI vintage photo. I punched the edges with a lace border punch. It took AGES to score, cut, punch, fold & glue all of the rosettes. I love the finished product & it looks great as a table centre piece, but I don't think I would be in a rush to make another lol.
I went by the measurements Jim the Gentleman Crafter used & went up in 1/4", I did'nt like the step effect I got with the archivers template, heres a pic of that one to show you the difference.

This one has a little glitter going on, & was my first attempt. I may add some characters not sure yet. It may just end up hidden up on a shelf! lol

Key to My Heart

Ok, so this was my final design for the magnolia comp. Not 100% happy with it, I would have liked to have used different flowers but I did'nt have time to order them as the cut off date is tomorrow.
At least I've had a go right.....It's all a learning curve so will keep getting creative until I nail it.

Key to my heart

This is one of the cards I am thinking of entering into a magnolia competition. I have a few more bits to finish off, I want to add some stickles & pearls. Not 100% sure if I will enter this one or something else. I will probably procrastinate over this right up to the last minute.

I have made the decision to start entering a few competitions. Very scary, as I am not at all confident in my crafting abilities. I haven't been crafting long, & still have ALOT to learn but I feel I should conquer my fear & have a go.
It is inspiring looking at other blogs & seeing their amazing work, it makes me want to push my boundaries & get more creative. Start thinking BIG instead of small. At the end of the day I should make what I love, & not restrict myself.
So in short "Watch this space".... that is for anyone who actually reads or looks at this poor excuse of a  blog lol.
