I am so rubbish with flowers! Never mind I am sure I will get it right one day lol.
I should be finished with this in few days. Just a few finishing touches , then I need to make the mini to go inside....

I had to pop into Hobbycraft earlier to pick up more cards to finish the wedding invites, & of course came out with a few extra things.
I was very good...only bought some pretty pink flowers & more wooden letters both of which were only £1.49 each.
I also got a new small butterfly punch as mine broke the other week.
I could have got alot more but I was very good & remembered I am skint lol.
Got home & my ebay goodies had arrived....some fab hinges, a key & lock & a small pocket watch. These are all for my nieces letters (which I am still waiting for).
I am out & about again & am blogging whilst in a huge queue in M&S.

I have started on my wedding gift.
Am not very happy with it already!
I've put the first band of paper on the largest box & I have bubbles, which I cannot smooth out.
I am going to crack on with it & see how it goes.
If I dont like it I will do something else & chalk this one up to a failure!
It's all one big learning curve right!

Bursting to craft

After not really knowing what I wanted to do next I now cannot wait to get stuck in to 3 new projects.

Firstly, my niece has asked me to make her some altered letters (The word HOME). I have ordered what I need so just waiting for delivery, & then I can get started.

Secondly, my round nesting boxes arrived so I can make a start on my wedding gift. That should be fun.

Thirdly, I am going to attempt to make "The Gentleman crafter's" steampunk hot air balloon.
After seeing Jim's tutorial on You Tube, I fell in love with it & so I am going to have a go. I will have to improvise alittle but thats the fun of crafting right?

Am busy doing boring humdrum stuff for the next few days so not starting these quite yet, but soon...& I cannot wait to get stuck in!!

What to make next?

Now that is the question...

I am waiting for delivery of more round boxes for a a gift I have planned using the papers from the previous post. In the meantime I can't decide what to make.

I could make up the prize package for the Facebook competition. Only one person made a suggestion for a clock as a prize, so I thought I may do a clock, a valentines card, a mothers day card, a fathers day card & possibly a couple of birthday, thankyou cards, not quite sure yet.

I am having one of those can't make my mind up days. I think it probably best if I don't craft at all, maybe I will pamper myself instead. My nails could do with a bit of attention after all the crafting lately, all I have to do is choose a colour (another decision to procrastinate over lol).

This is LEAH!

I have finished altering my letters. I did'nt plan anything out I just got a load of stuff together & just did what I liked.
It turned out very dark & grungy, but I like that.
I could have kicked myself when I finished it & realised I had more metal bits stashed away, but too late now....will just have to do something else with them.
I apologise for the pictures but I don't have a camera & have to use my phone, so am very limited.
I cant fit all the letters in one shot & get a good picture, but am sure you can imagine them standing together.
EDIT: I have decided that I am going to mount all the letters on a base & link them with chain, or possibly a metal bar. When I do I will update this post.

Still painting!

I have decided to go with the same theme for all my letters...I figure I can always do another word in a different style.

I am still painting them at the mo, & will post lots of pics of the finished project.
There are not enough hourss in the day lately!

Watching paint dry!

What a day I have to help me chill out I thought I would make a start on my name!
I have gesso'd all the letters so when I decide on the final finish I can just crack on.
I can't decide if I want them all the same, ie all shabby or all steampunk, or whether I am going to go ecclectic & do a different style for each letter?
Does that make sense?

I know I showed a little peak of another project yesturday, but am waiting for a new glue gun to am sort of stuck on that at the mo.

I have'nt done any wedding invites today, so I am behind but I just do not want to any tonight, just not feeling the love, & they need to be perfect. Will try & do another 25 tomorrow.

In the mean time I need to decide what to do with my letters!!!!

A taster of something new

I have been soo busy with wedding invites I have'nt had a chance to do anything else.
So, I took 20 mins out to start something new (for me!).
It is nowhere near complete, I am going to give myself 30mins a night away from wedding stuff to work on it. So watch this space...

Wedding Invites!

As a wedding gift for Nic's brother we offered to make their wedding invitations.
Have just finished the day invites, & have 150 evening invitations & 200 RSVP postcards left to make!
They are getting married on Sams(the brides) parents farm & the theme is garden/tea party.
Will post better pic's when I have finished everything.
Looks like I am going to be very busy over the next few weeks!

Last buys!

Ok, I have to stop buying stuff! I need to keep my money for the new releases!
These are the last buys until feb!
In my defence they were sale/cheaper stuff.
I did also order a couple more paper mache books from Hobby Craft while they are 50% off.
No more buys for me now for a while. I know I am going to get the new Tim Holtz french themed stack & a few other TH new releases that I have seen sneek peeks of.
I also love the Secret Garden collection from Graphic 45. Looking forward to seeing some new prima papers to.
I am going to need to win the lottery to buy my wish list!

A little alteration

I forgot to add the postcard to the front of the card

This is a gift for my new great niece (due any day now!)
I thought the book boxes would make a great keepsake/memory box.
Sorry the pictures are'nt great but am using my mobile & the light is awful...

Sneek peek

I started the book boxes I got from Hobby Craft today. I decided to do shabby style, used Prima papers.
I am not keen on these paper mache books. They are ok but I prefer the wooden ones.
I still have lots to do but heres what Ive done so far....

So far....

Getting there.... I have to add a photo (when I decide which one) & a few more bits.
I really enjoyed making this, it's simple but pretty. Am going to order more of these wooden frames.

Picked up a few bargains in Hobby Crafts today. I popped in for some crackle glaze & came out with all this!

I recently purchased some Tim Holtz goodies, specifically some metalic you think I can find them? NO! It is soo annoying.
I have searched everywhere but with no success.
Seriously frustrating, as I need them NOW!!!!!

Am crafting!

Ok... I know I said I was going to do some "go with the flow" crafting but this is as far as I got lol....
I am going to do something with it over the next few in the mood for pretty.
