Paris Mini Album

As promised here are some pics of the Paris themed mini album. I kept this album very simple with no real embellishments as I know this will be getting a lot of use. I would say it was fun to make but if you have read previous posts you would know I was fibbing lol.....

It is a 5x7 album with magnets as closures on the booklets & flaps, & tried to pack in as many tags & mats as I could so plenty of room for photo's & journaling.....

& that is it! Feel free to leave a comment all feedback is welcome & very much appreciated....until next time, catch ya later special Llama's

Chapter 16

Today has been a gloriously lazy day, mostly filled with crafting in my pj's!
I have been using up the remaining book papers, & decided to do something with the frames I got for a £1 each the other week.
Am undecided as to what else to do to them for the time being....I was going to do a little stenciling on the actual frame, but can't find my modelling paste. So will share what I have done so far.....

Butterfly Kisses

Just a quick picture of a card I quickly made today. Love these papers ( Linen closet DCWV), they are so pretty. I thought it about time I posted a picture LOL.
I would post some of the Paris Mini album, but the light is awful this late in the day, & I only have my phone.
Will try & photo's tomorrow before it gets collected!

I had a lovely afternoon shopping with Nicola today, we went to Hobby craft & picked up a few bits. A lovely heart punch ( I used it on the inside of the card), a new pair of Tim Holtz scissors, & a butterfly stamp. I was very good & didn't go mad as I needed a new curtain pole & a few bits for my bedroom.
Nicola on the other hand.........bought lots!

Starting again

Am sat in the hairdressers blogging!
Busy day today, cleaning, sending parcels out, queueing in the bank to pay money in (for a change), after this I am off food shopping then I can head home prep dinner & get crafting!
(will do all the washing tomorrow, I can only take so much house work for one day lol).
After sitting & looking at the completed "Paris" mini album last night I have decided to start from scratch.
Madness maybe, but I am just not happy with it
I have ordered another of the Prima Welome to Paris pads, & am going to be making my own pockets out of cardstock, in red & black.
Am hoping to get it all completed by the end of the week, well thats the plan anyway.  I foresee alot of late nights. I promise to have photos to share soon. May add a peak of a page before I post the completed album.
I have also been asked to make another 3 tier cake, but this time its for a little girl, so pink with lots of sparkle. Will be making a start on that over the next few weeks.
I have a few bits for sale on my facebook page if anyone is interested, there is a link at top of my blog.
Until the next time, Happy crafting! Catch ya later special Llama's

After a week of being too busy to craft, I have the whole weekend to get creative (huge smiley face).
I decided to make a start on a commission for a Paris themed mini album that I have been asked to make for a 12yr old girl.
Great excuse to use the Prima collection I have had for a while.
Thinking I was being clever, I decided to not only prep for that album, but also a vintage album I am making (as they are the same size).
Sounds like a good idea....well it wasn't lol.
I got distracted & instead of using the red envelopes for the Paris mini, I mistakenly uses the cream envelopes I prepped for the vintage mini!.
I didn't realise my mistake until I was 3 pages in, by which time it was to late as I didn't have enough of the Prima papers to start again. (very sad face).
I am gutted as now I hate it. You know when you can sort of see the finished product in your head, & you have planned all the co-ordinating inserts & tags etc, well now I have to change track & I think it looks awfull.
I could order another pad of the Prima papers & start again, but thats just more expence, & time.
That will teach me to prep in advance. From now on I am going to stick to my normal chaotic go with the flow way of crafting.
Mess is best for me!
Will post some pics when I am done.
I am definately opening that bottle of red tonight!
Hope everyones crafty adventures are happier than mine today....
Until next time....Catch ya later special Llama's.

Just a quick share of a book paper wreath I made for myself. The light wasn't great so the colours are a little off in the centre. Size wise it is around 22", which is rather large, but I wanted a statement piece.
It is all cream with two tone roses in the centre surrounded by cream lace.
I was going to add more to it, like small bunting & rosettes but have decided to live with it for a while & see how I feel about it in a few weeks.
Not having made anything like this before I have learnt a few lessons along the way, but I enjoyed it. I will be making a Christmas wreath like this but with patterned papers & baubles etc. Looking forward to that one.

Charmed I'm sure....

Today I had a go at making some cork charms, for my first attempt I am quite pleased. I think with practice they will get better.
Not a great picture as I had to hang them from the same hook so they aren't hanging straight, but I was quite excited to share.
I am waiting for more jewellery supplies to arrive, all the essentials really lol.
The tools & beadcaps arrived today but I was too impatient to wait for the rest before I had a go. I will probably change these up when I get more bits to play with.
I have been wanting to have a go at this for ages so prepare to see lots of pictures of my attempts at charms & jewellery making over the next few weeks/months, or at least until I get charmed out, sharing the bad & hopefully not so bad LOL.
I am thinking of hanging charms from my new blind in my bedroom ( I say new lol, I haven't made it yet),
& some chunky charm tie backs for my curtains.
Tomorrow I have to tidy up the crafting mess I have been making over the last few is getting out of hand as I have two or three different projects on the go at once & as you know I do not have a craft room to create in, so I have to make space on the dining table for people to eat!
Time for me to call it a night & get some sleep, I am yawning whilst blogging.
Until next time, catch ya later special Llama's....

Just a taster

This is a little peak at an element of a work in progress. I am still waiting on supplies to finish the whole piece, but was able to make a start on some of the smaller pieces.

Will share more soon....

Anything goes

OK, so you know I mentioned in yesterdays post I was going to make a little stand for my vintage cupcake....well it has gone from little to HUGE LOL.
I have now decided to make it into a much bigger project. I made a start today, but I need a whole load of new supplies (some of which I am currently bidding on Ebay for).

The more I stared at the cupcake the more ideas I had, so in my infinite wisdom I have decided to combine all my ideas & create one big display piece. I must be mad.....I have no fixed plan or design just a rough idea, so I am just going to go with the flow & keep my fingers crossed it turns out looking OK, & not one big giant disaster!
Anything goes is my motto for this project. It is for me to keep so who cares! It involves me trying my hand at making my own charms which I have never done before, but have wanted to have a go at for a while.
I should imagine it will be quite a while until I get this finished (waiting for supplies etc), but will try & post little teasers & updates along the way. I may even have to do a shout out for some advice, so if anyone does actually read my blog please be kind & help me out if you can.

I did have a photo of a little project to share today, but I have accidentally deleted it (being the numpty that I am), so unfortunately this is it for it for today. So until next time...
