A work in progress

I have so many things on the go at the moment. None of them are completely finished lol, I am waiting on new supplies.
Anyway I thought I would share something with you, as I haven't posted alot of pictures lately.
This is something I made last week. It isn't finished yet, (shock horror) I still want to add a few more bits.
Was inspired by Olga one of the new G45 design team winners.
She made a fabulous house of cards using the alice in wonderland collection.
I just had to have a go!
I will add more pictures to this post when I have finished it completely no clue when that will be lol.

                                      Edit: I added some mini books that I made using grunge paper.

200 paper cones later.....

I have to say I found it very theraputic rolling all these cones....

Tonight I sat & made 120 paper cones whilst watching telly.
I must be mad!

Aarrggghhhh

Had an email today from Catslair (who I buy all my wooden letters from), saying she is unable to fill my order & has refunded my payment.
I think she has stopped trading which is a real shame, as she provided great quality pieces, & was able to cut bespoke pieces to order.
This puts me in a bit of a pickle with my sign. I now have to source new letters & quickly!
Gutted....I thought it was going too smoothly. :-(

Hanging around

Sorry, not a great picture, & it is still not finished but I thought I would share it anyway.
I have lots of wooden hangers that I don't use anymore so I thought I would alter one. I want to hang photo's & journalling tags from it, aswell as charms etc. I like the way it is turning out so far.
I have had to put the hanger on hold for now though as I am working hard on something new. I am nowhere near finished as it is quite a big job, but I have made a good start.
I finally made a decision on the design & committed to it! I am still waiting for some components to be delivered but have lots to carry on with until they arrive.
Anyway, please feel free to leave a comment on the hanger, I would be interested to find out if anyone has done something similar.

What a fabulous sunny day! I hope it lasts all weekend!

Just a quick pic of a couple of tags.
I made these for a project I am working on which is pretty much finished, I just need to decide on photo's. Will share when complete.

Even though the sun is shining & I am inspired to get colourful I cannot.
I have alot of vintage stuff that I need to get finished so I had better stop blogging & crack on lol.

Decisions Decisions

Insomnia has taken hold again so am blogging from bed on my phone to stave off boredom: & to save me from watching Skyfall for the hundredth time.
Be prepared for some sleep deprived ramblings....

I am currently working on a design for a hanging sign & my mind is bursting with possibilities.
Too many ideas, it is going to be tough to narrow it down to a final few designs.
I want it to be bold, & am toying with bright eye catching shades of red, blue, green, mustard.
I change my mind every half hour lol.
I will get there eventually. Normally I start something with an idea in mind, then once I get going it goes in a whole new direction.
Am waiting on measurments for lettering in different fonts,so as soon as I have those I will have more of an idea on style.

Changing the subject....I have been working on a piece that I think is cool (thats probably a dead give away that no one who has seen it so far likes it, except for my mother lol).
I am just making tags & other bits for it but should be done with it in a few days so will post pictures. Would love your opinions on it...good or bad!

It is doubtful I will have any quality time to craft tomorrow as I have to go & buy a new washing machine.
Thats three appliances that have given up the ghost...Kettle, washing machine & boiler!
I am a little tempted to take the old washing machine apart to see if there are any components I could use or alter lol. You never know.
